HTC HD2 launch gets official unveiling gala
T-Mobile today sent an invitation to the press to attend an event detailing its version of the HTC HD2. The March 16th gathering in New York City doesn't say more than that the media will "experience" the smartphone but supports notions that the phone will ship in March. Aside from native 3G, it should still have Windows Mobile 6.5, the signature 4.3-inch multi-touch screen, 5-megapixel camera, GPS and Wi-Fi.
The carrier didn't provide a clue as to the final ship date, but past leaks have put the phone on a March 24th release schedule. Engadget has also heard through its own soruces that the date is still accurate.
