Palm Pre Plus now just $30 at Walmart on contract

The Palm Pre Plus handset launched at CES this past January, with a corresponding $150 price tag, is now just $30 at Walmart. The drop is significant versus pricing from even two weeks ago, when Walmart offered the device for $70 with a two-year contract. All prices require a two-year contract with Verizon.

The Palm Pre Plus was first offered by Verizon on January 25th, after a $100 online discount or mail-in rebate. Verizon itself is now selling the handset for $80.

The handset has a 3.1-inch touchscreen with a 480x320 resolution in addition to a slide out hardware QWERTY keyboard. It has 512MB of RAM and 16GB of storage space onboard. Wi-Fi is also integrated, as is Bluetooth a 3-megapixel camera and a multi-touch display. [via Barron's]
