Verizon now selling G'zOne Brigade for $250
The rugged Casio G'zOne Brigade handset introduced by Verizon last fall is now on sale at the carrier. The water-, dust- and shock-resistant phone meets the MIL-STD-810F standard for toughness. The device flips open horizontally to reveal a full QWERTY hardware keyboard and a large 2.9-inch screen with a 480x270 resolution.
Otherwise, the Push-To-Talk (PTT)-capable Brigade has a 3.2-megapixel camera with LED flash and video-recording capability. Users can also have access to an HTML browser, Document Viewer with support for Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF documents. A text-to-speech feature reads out text messages. Users with a data plan will have access to V CAST Music with Rhapsody, V CAST Video on Demand and VZ Navigator services. A microSD memory card slot and a speakerphone round out the G'zOne Brigade's features.
Verizon gives the Casio phone a price tag of $250 after a $50 online discount and signing up for a two-year contract.
