Dell to soon out six-core i7-powered gaming PC

Alienware has quietly proved that a six-core version of the Area-51 ALX is going into production. The high-end computer, which gets the recently-previewed 3.33GHz Core i7-908X, is currently undergoing testing at HotHardware despite the lack of an official statement. Like many ALX systems

Other specs of this version of the Alienware Area-51 ALX include two dual ATI Radeon HD 5970 GPUs, six hot-swappable drive bays and a self-powered internal LED illumination system. The PC builder's casing remains a selling point as the top panel's louvered vents open to cool internals down further when internal temperatures rise.

A confirmation of the system, along with pricing and ship dates, is expected soon from Alienware's parent company Dell.
