MOG intros Android, iPhone music streaming app
The on-demand and online music service MOG on Monday announced the upcoming release of its MOG All Access app for smartphones. Initially, the app will be available for Android-powered devices as well as iPhones. These versions of the app will launch in the spring, likely April and the service will cost $10 per month. The subscription will also allow users to access the service from their desktop or notebook PCs, and has no data limits.
The app will give users access to MOG's 7 million songs, with options to listen to particular artists, albums or songs as many times as they like. There is also a MOG Radio listening mode, which lets discover artists from the same genre of their pre-set favorites. Favorites can be saved into bookmark lists that become personal libraries. The app will also let user download songs into a local cache that will let them listen without a cell or Wi-Fi signal. An HQ Audio download option will allow users to get higher quality versions of tracks than the standard 64kbps.
