MSI details 17-inch GE700 notebook with Core i5

MSI outs 17-inch gaming portable
MSI has formally launched its GE700 notebook, which features a 17.3-inch screen with a 1680x1050 resolution, an Intel Core i5 CPU and 4GB of RAM. Graphics are handled by ATI's 1GB Radeon HD 5730 graphics, with a built-in subwoofer and speakers otherwise enhancing the movie-watching or gaming experience. The notebook also has dual hard drive support, with choices of 250GB, 320GB and 500GB hard drives.
Windows 7 Home Premium is the preloaded operating system. There is an HD webcam and a dual-layer DVD writer with a Blu-ray drive optional. A six-cell battery comes standard, with a nine-cell optional. The base system weighs just over 7lbs.
The GE700 has MSI's ECO Engine Power Saving technology for extending battery life depending on what users are doing with the system.
MSI has not announced shipping dates nor prices for the GE700, but it normally brings these systems to the US.
