Nokia C6 due for Europe, will be cheapest slider

An upcoming Nokia handset, dubbed the C6, may actually be the company's entry-level touchscreen slider phone, going below the N97 mini with which it shares styling cues. According to a leak, it will retain a touchscreen and a hidden hardware QWERTY keyboard. The trackpad that is present on the full-size N97 would be back on the C6.

An additional and potentially more noticeable difference would be a more conventional sliding action: it wouldn't angle the phone up towards the user like it does on the N97 and N97 mini. The C6 should have just 256MB of onboard storage, though a microSD slot would let users expand it.

Pricing and release dates for the C6 haven't been made public, though the device is expected to launch in Europe this summer. A North American release is likely shortly thereafter. [via BestofMicro]
