Astro Gaming shows A30 gaming headset

Astro Gaming on Tuesday introduced the A30 headset, which can be used as headphones for digital audio players or cellphones as well as a communications device for gamers with an optional device. The A30 is said to be a more lifestyle-oriented version of the company's A40 flagship offering.

The A30 ship with three different audio cables, for allowing a connection to portable devices, Sony's PS2 or Microsoft's Xbox 360. It has a removable boom with a microphone, along with a second, in-line microphone in the cord. Users can customize the speaker covers with their own artwork or from a number of available images in Astro's library. A ballistic nylon carrying case is included with the A30.

The ASTRO A30 Cross-Gaming Headset is now available in black and white for $150. Bundled with Astro's MixAmp that allows for voice chats when gaming on PCs or gaming consoles, it costs $230. MixAmp is necessary for connecting to the PS3 and Xbox 360 and enables 5.1 Dolby Surround sound.
