iPad keyboard dock, power adapter pushed to May

Most iPad accessories miss April 3 launch

Apple through the online Apple Store today has pushed back the launch of its iPad accessories. Both the Keyboard Dock and the 10W USB Power Adapter now won't ship until May, a month after the April 3rd iPad release date. The official iPad Case won't arrive until mid-April.

Of the collection, only the regular iPad Dock and the Dock Connector to VGA adapter will arrive in sync with the Wi-Fi versions of the tablet. No mention has been made yet of the Camera Connection Kit, which was announced at the late January introduction and was supposed to provide both SD card and USB adapters.

The delays point both to high demand for the iPad itself but also to tight supplies of add-ons, which in previous iPhone and iPod launches normally haven't been major concerns.

    Sold out....

They sold out and need to make more.

Better to sell out and need to make more than have days and days of inventory unsold.

    Yep

That's my read on it too. They made X number, now need to make more. My preorder (opening day) still shows that my case will ship on the 3rd.
