HTC plans more than just black for Desire
In a rare example of design variety at HTC, a leak today has shown that the company is making a dark silver version of the Desire. The color scheme would supplement the existing black and keep the existing chrome-effect and metal accents. No carrier branding is visible, so it remains unknown if this would be a regular option from HTC or limited to a specific network.
Both phones should have the same 3.7-inch AMOLED screen, 5-megapixel camera, 3G, GPS and Wi-Fi. Vodafone is known to be getting the phone next month, but Virgin UK should also get the handset, and rumors have circulated of a Desire for AT&T as a carrier-locked alternative to the Nexus One.
