Moto Cliq XT gives cheaper touch-only MOTOBLUR
T-Mobile this morning began selling its promised Motorola Cliq XT. The second-ever Motorola Android phone for the carrier is a touch-only version of the original Cliq and continues to use its 3.1-inch touchscreen and 5-megapixel camera. Apart from using an on-screen keyboard, it varies in using a touchpad instead of a D-pad for physical control.
The T-Mobile edition uses Motorola's stock MOTOBLUR social networking front end with Android 1.5 underneath. It carries a 2GB microSD card in the box to get users started on apps and photos.
Despite a last-minute price leak hinting at a $99 price, the Cliq XT will actually cost more than its keyboard-equipped predecessor at $130 after signing a two-year contract. Subscribers who go contract-free with Even More Plus can pay $330 to have the smartphone outright.
