Nexus Ones from AT&T having screen issues?

The Nexus One handsets shipping from AT&T seem to have an issue with their screens, which makes the black levels look off, giving them a purple hue. This is shown by the image below, with the T-Mobile Nexus One on the left and the AT&T unit on the right. What the issue stems from is thus far unknown, but is likely related to a fault in the screen's color temperature or a manufacturing mistake.

This screen issue is not limited to just one device, however, though it's not clear if every single Nexus One from AT&T suffers from the problem. The brightness levels in the photo of the two handsets are set identically. [via BGR]

Confirmed: Not all N1 screens are affected

    Greetings-
I purchased an ATT ready Nexus One last week. The screen does not exhibit this problem and has been a great experience thus far. It's running stock firmware 2.1-update1. Build number is EPE54B.

    Cheers.
