Origin doubles its gaming notebooks with EON15

Origin has doubled its gaming notebook lineup by adding a 15.6-inch EON15 to the EON18, which was released late in February. Its LED-backlit screen has a 1080p resolution, and processor choices are solely high-end options with either a quad-core 1.6GHz or 1.73GHz Core i7. Graphics options include either a 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285M or GTX 280M, and RAM varies between 4GB and 8GB.

For storage, users can spec out 160GB, 250GB, 320GB or 500GB 7,200RPM hard drives, as well as 80GB, 160GB or 250GB solid state drives. Available optical drives range from a dual-layer DVD writer to a dual-layer Blu-ray writer. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, HDCP-compliant HDMI and gigabit Ethernet are also integrated. The EON15 weighs 7.3lbs complete with its battery.

The Origin EON15 starts at $1,899. [via PCLaunches]
