Samsung ships dual-mic convertible Modus headset

Samsung on Monday announced that its Modus headset is now shipping in the US. The device has dual-microphone and features noise-cancelling technology and can also stream users' music as it doubles as a stereo Bluetooth headset. The Modus will pair with up to two Bluetooth devices at the same time and automatically mutes music when a phone call comes in.

Thanks to the included stereo earbuds, users can hear music in both ears. It ships with a removable ear hook and multiple rubber ear buds for maximizing comfort. The built-in battery's life is rated at six hours of talk time or 200 hours of standby time. It is recharged by a microUSB connection.

The headset will pair with any active Bluetooth device automatically when it is placed within six inches.

Despite the announcement, Samsung has not revealed ship dates for the Modus.
