Apple ships iPads early, camera adapters late
Several Electronista and MacNN readers noted this morning that their iPad orders have started shipping. The devices are spread across multiple capacities and are shipping well ahead of the April 3rd target date. Many of these orders are the very first, taken just minutes after Apple opened pre-orders.
Apple is likely to tell its shipping firms to hold the tablet and avoid delivering before the official release date, as it has with past iPhone launches.
Also, the company this weekend added the iPad Camera Connection Kit to the online Apple Store after a few weeks' delay. It gives users adapters for both SD cards and USB to upload photos and is now known to automatically invoke the Photos app to import shots. The kit costs $29 but won't arrive until late April.

iPad Shipped, but..
I got the email from Apple this morning telling me my iPad had shipped. I expected to see it a bit earlier than Saturday until I checked the tracking and saw that it shipped from China. It still may get here early but Saturday will be fine.
