PeeWee ships educational Power Laptop for kids
Children's PC builder PeeWee has released a new netbook for its core audience. The PeeWee Power Laptop is aimed at kids aged between 4 and 8; it's both ruggedized (including a spill-proof keyboard) and comes with 15 educational software titles preloaded onto its 160GB hard drive, along with Windows XP. Processing power, meanwhile, comes from a 1.66GHz Intel Atom processor.
Other preloaded software includes PeeWee Patrol and PeeWee Privacy, with the former letting parents protect their kids from questionable content from the Internet and monitors their activity while the latter lets them restrict access to files and folders on the hard drive and set how long children can use their computer.
Other specs of the 10-inch netbook are typical and include 1GB of RAM, an LCD with a 1024x600 resolution, a six-cell battery, Wi-Fi, three USB ports and a 1.3-megapixel camera.
The PeeWee Power Laptop is now available for $500.
