Hori intros 11.6-inch screen for slim Sony PS3
Gaming console accessory maker Hori has just revealed a strap-on screen for Sony's slim PS3 gaming console, allowing gamers to take their Blu-ray watching or gaming mobile. The HP3-87 has an 11.6-inch screen that folds down like a notebook for ease of carrying. The LCD has a resolution of 1366x768, letting users enjoy content at the system's native 720p resoutlion.
The screen's other tech specs of a 500:1 contrast ratio, 7ms response time, and 200 nits of brightness are average for the category. The accessory also adds stereo speakers, two headphone jacks and both composite (RCA) and component inputs. Hori's add-on is compatible with Sony's own Torne TV tuner and DVR for the PS3, allowing users to watch TV broadcasts without the need for a full-size TV.
Shipments arrive on May 27th, priced at the equivalent of $200. Pre-orders began Tuesday. [via Impress]
