Best Buy says HTC Incredible due soon
The HTC Incredible's launch window may have been narrowed down as a rumor late Friday appeared to have confirmed a specific date. A Best Buy staffer questioning his Verizon representative was told after weeks of silence that the Android phone should reach the retailer on April 25th. Pre-orders would supposedly start in the remaining portion of early April.
The carrier contact didn't how much the phone would cost, but the AndroidForums source noted that the weekly Best Buy flyer will expire on the 24th and thus that it would make sense to launch the Incredible at the same time as a new flyer goes out through the mail. Verizon itself has already dropped hints that the smartphone is due soon, as it has appeared in Verizon's system.
The Incredible is most likely a Verizon-customized equivalent to the Desire and will share the same 3.7-inch AMOLED, 1GHz Snapdragon and Sense UI as the version bound for non-US markets. Most of its changes would include the necessary switch to CDMA and the cosmetic design.
