French provider Bouygues first with Nexus One?

French carrier Bouygues Telecom should be the country's first to begin offering the Google Nexus One. While the handset is not yet dated for shipping, it is said to become available soon. Bouygues will offer a number of data plans for the smartphone, which could hint at it being subsidized rather than carrying the full price that the phone normally requires outside of T-Mobile USA.

The Nexus One is expected to arrive at Bouygues later in April, which would be near the same time as it ships at Verizon in the US and Vodafone in the UK.

The Nexus One has a 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen and a 1GHz processor and ships with Android 2.1. A Bouygues version would use GSM and HSPA-based 3G, but might not necessarily support 3G in North America. [via UnwiredView]
