Samsung shows touchscreen equipped NB30 netbook

Samsung has added a touchscreen to its rugged NB30 netbook, thus creating the NB30 Touch. The 10.1-inch matte LED touchscreen has a resolution of 1024x600 and is viewable outdoors, while the processor remains Intel's 1.66GHz Atom. Windows 7 Starter Edition is preloaded onto the 160GB or optional 250GB hard drive, and there is 1GB of RAM.

The same liquid-proof keyboard, isolated hard drive to resist shock and rugged shell of the standard NB30 are carried over. There is also Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, a 3-in-2 memory card reader and three USB 2.0 ports. A six-cell battery powers the netbook, which weighs under 2.8lbs.

The touchscreen NB30 costs about $164 more than the NB30's base price, which reaches the equivalent of $380 in Europe. [via Notebook Italia]
