OCZ updates 1TB Colossus LT SSDs

OCZ has refreshed its Colossus desktop SSDs with the new Colossus LT 3.5-inch SSD range, which includes 120GB, 250GB, 500GB and 1TB capacities. The MLC NAND flash is meant for desktop users who want to reap the benefits of the faster performance, quiet operation and durability inherent in SSD drives coupled to capacities that more readily mirror traditional hard drives.

The performance is largely the same as the outgoing Colossus drives, with up to 260MBps read and write speeds, as well as 140MBps sustained write speeds for the 120GB SSDs. The other models get a 220MBps sustained write speed.

While prices have not been announced, they are expected to be about the same as the outgoing Colossus drives, at about $610 for a 120GB version and $3,572 for the 1TB drive.
