Movie promo has HTC Evo 4G shown early
Sprint today sent out invitations to an event that will show the HTC Evo 4G as part of a movie tie-in. A New York City gathering on May 12th will both show the Android flagship's media features and let those attending see the new Prince of Persia movie in advance. The event will be important enough that Sprint chief Dan Hesse will be one of the guests.
Holding the preview is a sign the WiMAX smartphone is getting closer to release, although Sprint still maintained in the invitation that it would only be released in the summer. More recent leaks have put the phone on the network sometime in June, when it would arrive alongside a WiMAX hotspot service that would turn the Evo 4G into a mobile router. [via Android Central]
