Prototype Project Natal photos leaked

An Italian site has leaked photos which are said to show a prototype unit of Microsoft's Project Natal full body controller that is apparently being tested for speech recognition. The camera unit, a quick start guide and an instruction manual are shown off, and may have revealed that Natal needs to be plugged into its own outlet. Also, the camera may have a motorized tilt mechanism and users are urged not to manually try to tilt the sensor in its base or risk damaging it.

Speech tests reveal that users might have the option of powering on the Xbox 360 console or accessing Facebook simply by speaking, and are just two among hundreds of other voice commands.

Users might also need to install the included XDK software onto their game consoles before they can begin using Project Natal, although this may be for the pre-release version alone. [via Destructoid]
