American iPad with 3G to launch on April 30th

The 3G-capable iPad will be available in the US on April 30th, Apple has announced. Early pre-orders should be delivered as the day goes on; Apple Stores, however, will only begin selling the device at 5PM local time, in contrast with the morning launches of the Wi-Fi iPad on April 3rd. 3G models are set to cost $629 for 16GB, $729 for 32GB and $829 for 64GB.
On top of this people will have to pay AT&T $15 per month for 250MB of 3G data, or $30 for unlimited bandwidth. Data plans can be canceled at any time. Apple also remarks that the iPad 3G is slightly heavier than the Wi-Fi edition, weighing 1.6 instead of 1.5 pounds. Pre-orders made from Apple today will not be delivered until May 7th.

It's stupid that these things don't have user flash memory. I wonder how many people (myself included) purchased an iPhone or various flavors of iPods w/flash memory in them than we actually ever used for the useful life of the device? They should make it more enticing to buy the higher-end models aside from just memory, like AppleCare included or $50 credit to the apple store, etc. It doesn't make sense that adding 16 GB incrementally only costs $100 but then adding 32 more gigs costs incrementally the same. It's like going to the movies and getting popcorn... for only 25cents more you can get a medium size.. for only 25 cents more than that you can get a super-duper-gigantic sized bag.
