Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 due at AT&T in August?

An unofficial but allegedly trusted source has revealed wireless provider AT&T will begin stocking Sony Ericsson's XPERIA X10 smartphone at the start of August. This latest report contradicts an earlier one that the device will arrive at AT&T this spring. This spells bad news for AT&T, as the X10 is expected to ship with the outdated Android 1.6 software preloaded instead of 2.1.

The X10 will otherwise sport an 8-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. Pricing remains unknown but should be in the $200 subsidized range to compete with other smartphones on the market. [via Engadget Mobile]
