Mystery HTC Android messager gets FCC approval

A new FCC filing has hinted that HTC is bringing a new Android-based slider to the US in the near future. Going only by the PC70110 badge, the phone has the telltale Android navigation buttons and a hidden QWERTY keyboard. It also appears to have an optical trackpad, which would be a first for an HTC Android slider.

The phone as shown runs on the 850MHz and 1,900MHz 3G bands and so is likely tailor-made for AT&T's network, although it could also support Bell, Rogers and Telus in Canada. Launch timing and even the final name aren't known, but the FCC's testing is arriving just as HTC has been polling for a new name and could use Festi, Jovi, Wildfire or Zeal as the final badge.
