Phenom II X6 shows up in CyberPower, Maingear PCs

Gaming PC makers CyberPower and Maingear have released new systems that feature AMD's new six-core Phenom II X6 CPU at their hearts. CyberPower's entries are the Gamer Dragon CrossFire Ultimate and Gamer Ultra CrossFireX Pro desktops, with the former shipping with the faster 3.2GHz Phenom II X6, while the latter gets the 2.8GHz version. Each can be had with the other chip, however. The systems are otherwise largely configurable, including a choice of mainboards, graphics cards (up to three Radeon HD 5870s) and drives (up to 2TB each).

The basic CyberPower system with an AMD Phenom II X6 starts at $699, though a pre-configured Ultra CrossFireX Pro retails for $1,045 and the Dragon CrossFire Ultimate costs $2,555.

Meanwhile, Maingear introduced the Vybe Limited Edition with AMD's Phenom II X6 CPU. It is paired with the AMD 890GX chipset and gets both 6Gbps SATA III as well as USB 3.0 ports. The Vybe Limited Edition, when outfitted with the six-core Phenom II, starts at $999.
