Verizon FiOS customers get YouTube, web radio

Verizon on Tuesday added YouTube functionality along with Internet radio to its fiber-optic FiOS TV subscribers. Those using the fiber optic service can browse the video hosting site with the existing FiOS TV remote. YouTube videos can be bookmarked, watched in full-screen mode, or even log into their accounts to view their favorites or their own videos.

Online radio brings "hundreds" of US stations stations. Subscribers can now also stream music from their PCs to the TV over the local network.

The new services will be accessible through Media Manager, which all FiOS TV HD subscribers will now receive and not just DVR customers, as in the past. The program needs to be installed on users' PCs, while those with Media Manager already preloaded need to download a free software update.

Hello I ve been trying to use this with my Mac but it seems like only PC's are supported for now. Anyway YouTube on TV looks great and there is a lot of content available. I also created a review, you can see it here: http://www.thehdstandard.com/video-broadcasting-news/youtube-video-streaming-on-fios-tv/
