BenQ rolls out compact cam with HDR shooting

BenQ digicam gets HDR shooting, 720p HD video


BenQ on Wednesday showed off a new compact digital camera, the E1260 HDR. It's unique in being one of the few point-and-shoots outside of of a High Dynamic Range shooting mode that merges multiple shots to bring out more details from highlights and shadows. The 12-megapixel camera can also record 720p HD videos, touts a 28mm 4X optical zoom lens and uses a 2.7-inch preview LCD.

The camera also has an accelerometer that will rotate photos when they are being reviewed depending on the orientation, and can detect 12 shooting scenes in full auto mode. The E1260 will be available in gray or blue when it arrives worldwide in May. Prices have not been announced.
