Lexar ships 600X 32GB CF cards with 90MBps speeds

Lexar Media has released its Professional 600X Compact Flash card and its associated reader on Wednesday. The cards are available in 32GB, 16GB and 8GB capacities. The card has a minimum sustained write speed of 90MBps when plugged into a UDMA 6-capable reader.

One such device is Lexar's own Professional ExpressCard CompactFlash reader, which can support read/write speeds of up to 133MBps and connects to a computer's ExpressCard slot. It supports both UDMA and non-UDMA CF cards.

The 32GB Professional 600x CF card costs $500, the 16GB card costs $300 and the 8GB card costs $200. The reader is due soon and doesn't yet have a retail price.
