MSI brings GE600 gaming notebook to US

MSI GE600 costs 900 for Core i5, Radeon HD 5730
MSI today brought its centerpiece gaming notebook, the GE600, to the US. The 16-inch system is relatively fast for the class and musters both a 2.26GHz Core i5 and a 1GB Mobility Radeon HD 5730 while keeping the weight relatively in check at 5.9 pounds. A quicker 7,200RPM 320GB hard drive reduces the effect of storage as a bottleneck on speed.
The PC largely needs no extra upgrades of its own as it comes with 4GB of RAM, 802.11n Wi-Fi, a webcam and expansion that brings eSATA and HDMI in addition to the usual ports. A DVD drive is the only optical storage. MSI produces the GE600 in a unique sand-hued color and is selling the American configuration for $900.
