ASUS Eee PC 1005PR with Broadcom Crystal now out
The Eee PC 1005PR netbook that was offered for pre-order late in April has now gone on sale at Amazon. The 10.1-inch LED backlit netbook has a relatively high 1366x768 screen resolution and can play back HD video locally and in-browser thanks to its Broadcom Crystal HD chipset and Flash 10.1 support. The netbook has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth as standard fare as well.
Otherwise, its six-cell battery's life is rated at up to 11 hours, and Windows 7 Starter is preloaded onto the 250GB hard drive. A 1.66GHz Intel Atom CPU powers it, and there is 1GB of RAM. A built-in 0.3-megapixel camera rounds out the features. The netbook costs $400.

Just like Eee PC 1001P, 1005PR also has a textured, matte lid which is better than the glossy lids that we are now increasingly being treated with. When it comes to looks only 1008P (which was designed by Karim Rasheed) looked better but it was a bit overpriced.
