Epson outs WorkForce 520 AIO, two scanners

Epson on Tuesday unveiled the new WorkForce 520 all-in-one printer, scanner, copier and fax machine along with the Perfection V33 and Perfection V330 Photo scanners. The WorkStation 520 is said to be the fastest offering in its category, with 15 ISO pages per minute in black and white or 5.4 ISO pages per minute in color. It also has a built-in Wi-Fi radio for cable-free printing, and a 30-page automatic document feeder.

It can scan directly to e-mail and PDF at up to 2,400DPI. Documents can be photocopied in color or black and white, and documents from connected computers can be faxed out. There is a dual-sided printing mode, while five individual ink cartridges allow for replacement of whatever color is used most often.

The Perfection V33 and Perfection V330 share the same maximum 4800x9600DPI optical resolution and a 180-degree lid that opens to allow for scanning oversized objects. The V330 gets a built-in transparency unit for scanning slides, negatives and film. The two can scan, copy, scan-to-email and create PDF files from scanned content. ArcSoft Scan-n-Stitch Deluxe software is bundled with either, helping users scan multiple images of an oversized whole and then stitch them back together digitally.

The WorkForce 520 is now available for $130. The V33 and V330 Photo scanners are priced at $90 and $120, respectively.
