MSI 17.3-inch CX705MX notebook has Radeon HD 545V

Taiwan-based MSI revealed a new notebook PC, the 17.3-inch CX705MX. It ships with a 512MB example of ATI's brand-new Radeon HD 545V graphics chipset, which should give the otherwise budget-focused notebook enough power to watch HD videos on its 1600x900 resolution screen. For sound playback, there are two 2W speakers along with a subwoofer.

Processing power comes from an unspecified Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and Windows 7 Home Premium is preloaded onto the standard 250GB or optional 320GB or 500GB hard drive. A 4-in-1 memory card reader, HDMI output, VGA output, three USB ports and an Ethernet port are standard, as are Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1. A 1.3-megapixel webcam is built-in as well.

MSI integrated its ECO Engine Power saving technology into the CX705MX, letting users pick from one of five power management levels, including video game, film, presentation, word processing and turbo battery. The large notebook weighs about 6.6lbs.

MSI has not revealed a ship date or pricing for the CX705MX, however.
