First RIM clamshell with full QWERTY keyboard
The BlackBerry 9670 clamshell has resurfaced in the wild, with clearer images showing a refined design and OS 6 interface. The photos, posted on TheCellularGuru, indicate that RIM has continued to tweak certain aspects of the handset, although the overall form matches an earlier leak.
The device integrates a full QWERTY keyboard, a unique feature for a BlackBerry clamshell. Earlier reports suggest the primary screen offers 480x360 resolution, while a smaller LCD can be viewed while the handset is closed. A five-megapixel camera rounds out the rumored specs.
It remains unclear if the recent leak details the finalized version of the 9670. A separate report suggests the device may have been custom-made for Verizon and Vodafone, although pricing and launch details have yet to surface.
