US Cellular to get first Android phone in July

US Cellular on its Facebook page revealed that the upcoming Samsung R880 will be arriving at the provider and be called the Acclaim. It will also sport Android 2.1 -- a first for US Cellular -- along with a full hardware QWERTY keyboard and a 3.2-inch screen with a 480x320 resolution. The device is due in US Cellular stores around July.

The Acclaim is also expected to have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, a 3-megapixel autofocus camera with flash, a microSD card slot, and Google Mobile Services. Other than the hardware keyboard, it's expected to carry specs and features similar to the Galaxy Spica (pictured).

Pricing for the Acclaim at US Cellular hasn't been revealed.
