Spotify adds two new services in Europe

Music streaming service Spotify added two new ways to access the service on Tuesday. The subscription-based Spotify Unlimited gives users ad-free, anytime access to Spotify on their home computer. It costs the equivalent of $6.35 per month in Europe. There is also Spotify Open, which lets the uninitiated access the service without an invite from a fellow user for up to 20 hours of listening per month.

With Spotify Unlimited, users can still create playlists, build their own libraries and share music with friends but at half the price of the regular Premium subscription, which brings the ability to stream from an iPhone or Android smartphone.

Whether the new services will be available at launch in the US, due this summer, remains to be seen.
