Nokia E73 may reach US first

Nokia's next major pro QWERTY phone may be the first to launch in the US at the same time as it does elsewhere, a tipster revealed today. T-Mobile's own internal documents show that the as yet unannounced E73 would ship to stores as soon as June 16th and would be badged the Mode, getting a custom name much as how the Nokia 5230 became the Nuron. Prices are conspicuously absent in the Engadget leak.

Hardware features are also mostly absent, although it's hinted the E73 might support Wi-Fi for calls and data in addition to the usual 3G. Nokia often upgrades the camera and other features with its Eseries phones but isn't usually as aggressive in features as it is with the Nseries. The E73 appears to still run Symbian S60 rather than Symbian^3.
