T-Mo myTouch 3G Slide carries slight premium

T-Mobile today set down concrete launch info for the myTouch 3G Slide. The Android 2.1 slider should reach the network's stores relatively quickly, on June 2nd. It should carry a premium, however, as it will cost $180 on a contract and then only after a $50 rebate.

The new myTouch is T-Mobile's first truly custom Android phone and uses a specially-made layer on top of Android 2.1. Its camera has been upgraded to 5 megapixels, and it uses a trackpad for physical navigation instead of HTC's characteristic trackball.
