Read and write speeds top 275MB/s

Corsair has expanded its Force Series of 2.5-inch SSDs with several new models in capacities ranging from 60GB to 240GB. Each of the drives integrates a Sandforce SF-1200 SSD processor which supports 4K random write performance of 180MB/s using ATTO's benchmarking software. The drives are also claimed to sustain 15K IOPS.

The entire range of drives support a maximum throughput of 285MB/s during read operations and 275MB/s while writing data. The performance does not diminish even with the entry-level 60GB model.

The F60, F120, and F240 SSDs are expected to be available sometime next month, although the company has yet to announce pricing.
