New design adds QWERTY slider

Confirming earlier leaks, AT&T subscribers will be able to purchase LG's Vu Plus handset beginning June 6. The device is a revised and updated version of the previous Vu, adding 7.2Mbps HSDPA and a four-row QWERTY slide-out keyboard. AT&T's customized interface is presented on a three-inch capacitive touchscreen with 400x240 resolution, while the camera has been improved with a 3-megapixel sensor.

Users can access a variety of full-length shows broadcast through AT&T's Mobile TV service, which costs an additional $10 per month. The Vu Plus also features AT&T's mobile browser, turn-by-turn navigation utility, and Social Net utility for access to social networking content such as Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace.

The Vu Plus will be available online and at retail locations for $150 after a $50 mail-in rebate.
