AViiq outs thinnest, folding notebook stand

AViiQ is now shipping the thinnest laptop stand available, the Portable Laptop Stand. Besides being much thinner than what it's designed to support, it folds down to a thickness of just a quarter of an inch to ease carrying it around. The stand will lean the notebook by 12 degrees for reduced wrist strain when typing.

This also improves visibility by reducing screen glare and allows cooling air to flow underneath the notebook. The structure of the stand is made of Hylite, or a composite of aluminum and polypropylene core. The stand is now available online for $80.

heat dissipation, yes; strain relief, no

Bending your wrist at an angle is the worst thing you can do when you type. The major problem can only be solved with:

    1. 12" elevation above the typing surface.
    2. use a wireless keyboard that has a built-in trackpad.

Prolonged notebook use without the above setup causes poor posture.
