TiVo UI utilized, but not DVR functionality

Best Buy and TiVo have announced that TiVo software will soon be integrated into Internet-connected Insignia TVs. The devices will take advantage of TiVo's platform as a single user interface for both standard TV features nd a variety of additional content available through an Internet connection.

The announcement highlights TiVo's push to license its UI layout and branding for use on third-party devices such as TVs and set-top boxes. Although the company is known for its DVR technology, the Insignia TVs will not offer the recording itself.

Best Buy has yet to provide specific details regarding which Insignia TVs will integrate TiVo software.
