Apple has 3rd most popular Opera Mini device
The iPhone has become the third most popular platform for Opera Mini in just a matter of weeks, Opera found today. Over 2.6 million Apple devices downloaded and used the browser in its first two weeks of presence on the App Store. The popularity was enough to make the iPhone the most popular Opera device in the US, toppling the BlackBerry line, and fifth in the UK.
US downloaders were also the most likely to use Opera as a result. Americans led both in the sheer number of unique users as well as pages viewed and the amount of data sent through those sites.
Most of Opera's traffic still comes from Nokia phones and is dominated by entry-level smartphones, many of whom already have a proper web browser but are either using the less accurate stock browser or are used in areas where slow connections are more common, such as Russia. Ordinary Sony Ericsson phones and a handful of Samsung devices are also sometimes popular.
The Android version and matching devices are conspicuously absent from the chart, even in the US, and suggest that many Android users are either content with Google's stock browser or are using a handful of alternatives to get online.

Downloaded, but not on the phone any more
"Over 2.6 million Apple devices downloaded and used the browser in its first two weeks of presence on the App Store."
This is more exact. I also downloaded the browser to check it out, but after an hour I was not contend with the browser and removed it from my iPhone. I like Safari better.
