Droid 2, Droid Shadow appear in Verizon's inventory

Droid 2 shows up in Verizon inventory: leak


The Motorola Droid 2 seems to be on schedule for a rumored release at Verizon, according to an inventory screen image sent to Droid-Life. While no dates are seen on the screen capture, the device is called by its A955 designation and its presence in the system does indicate the phone is near a release date. The device is also expected to share specs with the Shadow.

The phone is likely to sport a 4.1- or 4.3-inch touchscreen along with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard like on the original Droid and a fast, 720MHz or faster TI OMAP processor. It play back HD videos locally and on external displays through PowerVR's SGX530 graphics core and HDMI output. An 8-megapixel camera is also expected, and Android 2.2 may ship with the device. The near-twin Shadow should mirror these specs, but will be a touchscreen-only model.
