Acer shows Ferrari edition Liquied e handset


At Computex on Tuesday, Acer UK showed off a Ferrari edition of its Liquid e smartphone. The phone sports a signature Ferrari Red paint and Scuderia Ferrari crest, along with chrome trim and carbon fiber accents. The phone also gets Ferrari wallpaper for each of its five home pages, a special set of ringtones that includes a Ferrari engine and F1-related images and videos.

Otherwise, it has the same 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen with an 800x480 resolution, a 768MHz Snapdragon processor, 5-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, and 256MB of RAM found in the standard handset, in addition to the usual Android 2.1 operating system.

The special edition phone ships with a matching Elite Bluetooth headset as well as a carrying case. Prices and the release date, along with how many will be made, haven't been revealed.
