Tiny Zoom H1 stereo recorder ships this summer

Zoom has released its smallest ever handheld voice recorder, the H1 Handy Recorder. The ultra-portable device weighs just two ounces and has two microphones arranged in an X/Y pattern. The H1 promises clear 24-bit, 96kHz stereo recording quality despite its size and has a new user interface touted as easier to use.

Among the changes are quicker access to a track marker, auto recording, a low-cut filter, levels and volume controls. Recordings are stored on microSDHC cards up to 32GB, which can hold up to 50 hours of audio. A 2GB card is included, as is a single AA battery that can power the device for 10 hours. There is a USB 2.0 port for transferring files as well as an integrated reference speaker.

The Zoom H1 ships on July 30th for $99.
