Full-blown Kindle 2.5 software coming in weeks

Amazon has delayed the full-blown release of its Kindle 2.5 software update based on feedback received from users who got an early release. After the changes are made, which Amazon foresees to take a few weeks, the software will be rolled out further.

The new software will let Kindle users organize their content into collections, pan and zoom through PDFs and protect content using a password. There will also be two new, larger fonts, and the ability to share passages on Facebook and Twitter right from the Kindle. Finally, users can see a list of the most commonly highlighted passages by the Kindle community.
