Upgrade options expected in other markets

Confirming earlier reports, Dell has begun updating its Alienware M11x ultraportable with Intel's ULV Core i3, i5, and i7 CPUs. Malaysian customers can now purchase the device with a 1.2GHz i3-330UM, 1.06/1.86GHz Core i5-520UM, or 1.20/2.26GHz Core i7 CPU.

Each of the basic configurations retains the same 11.6-inch 1366x768 display, paired with Nvidia GT335 graphics components containing 1GB of memory. Customers can choose a variety of customization options.

The new CPU offerings are currently listed on Dell's Malaysian site with prices ranging from RM 3700 (~$1100 USD) to RM 5000 (~$1500 USD). The same options are expected in North American markets sometime in near future, although the company has yet to announce a specific launch date or pricing.
