Verizon brings V CAST Video, updated NFL app to Android

Verizon adds V CAST Video to Android phones
As expected, Verizon Wireless on Monday made its V CAST Video service available on its lineup of Android smartphones. Programming includes entertainment, news and sports from over 40 providers. Users will have access to videos of college football, college basketball and NHL hockey, as well as 64 live streams of Spanish-language broadcasts of 2010 World Cup matches.
Full-length programs from AETN, including A&E, Lifetime and History, can also be accessed, along with Spanish-language content from V-me.
At the same time, Verizon launched an NFL Mobile app that will let users keep up to date on stats, game scores and any news on their favorite NFL teams and players. The app bring live NFL Network programs, video on demand and blogs and commentary related to the 2010 NFL season.
V CAST Video can be found in the Verizon Channel in Android Market and adds $10 per month to the data plans of any Verizon Android devices. NFL Mobile is included as part of the monthly data plan on Verizon's 3G smartphones.
